UEA’s Gifted Program is specifically meant for children ages 4 and 5. Through enrichment and partial acceleration, our program will meet
the individual needs of each student. True to our mission to foster the social, emotional and academic talents of children, we cultivate an
inclusive teaching environment, and we personalize the curriculum to commensurate students’ abilities and preparedness.
For an extra intellectual challenge, consider programs offered via UEA’s Extra-curricular Programs.
Gifted
Children
A typical day in our centre has a planed combination of activities that may be teacher –directed or self directed, group time, outdoor play,
nap or rest time as well as time for nutritious lunch and healthy snacks.
Example of activities: creative art, gross motor skills, sand and water play, cooking, block building, dramatic role play, fine motor
manipulatives, science through discovery, language arts/listening.
Two outdoor play sessions (weather permitting) or vigorous indoor play as an alternative.
